The Marathon world record holder, Haile Gebrselassie, declared to a European media that he would not be attending the Beijing Summer Olympic Marathon race due to the polluted air in Beijing. Before this, some media reported that Haile has asthma but the ambassador of Ethiopia said that he did not hear of this before.We will disicuss on this topic.

For every Chinese people, the host of Olympic Games is the honor of our whole country. We are trying our best to host a wonderful Olympic games for the wolrd.But some country maybe not support the Beijing Olympic Games. This thing is an example.Well; I think that some sound of criticism is not a bad thing.It can help us to make progress.

The reason that  Haile Gebrselassie, declared to a European media that he would not be attending the Beijing Summer Olympic Marathon race  is the polluted air in Beijing.I live in Beijing now.The air pollution is really a problem.But Chinese government has take measures to deal with it.And I can absolutely feel that the condition of air become better.And with more effort on it,I believe the air will become better ！So I hope Haile Gebrselassie will attend Beijing Olympic games.Beijing welcome you!

How to solve the environmental problems effectively? Maybe It is a big question.You know china is developing country.As the experience of the history, the environment problems maybe unavoidable.The government plays an important role in it.I think our government is aware of the environment problems. And the citizens also start to take action. Solving the problem need time. And we have already done!

In fact ,I am not very understand the decision that Haile Gebrselassie made.Attending the Olympic games and wining a medal is not a honor of youself,but the whole nation.Because you stand for your country.So in my opinion, Haile Gebrselassie has the responsibily to attend the game.But I also think whether attend or not is his right.He should ,but not means he must. If I re Haile,I wouldn't quit the Marathon race.
